Ready to Wear: The Lanvin/Acne tuxedo looks great in America’s …
Independent UK
Yes yes we all know that this garment has its roots in British outerwear – stand up and be counted Burberry and Aquascutum – but the French have made it their own. It crops up regularly at Jean Paul Gaultier and Elbaz’s seasonally adjusted varieties on the theme are among the most coveted in the fashion hemisphere. Très chic. In general this is a clever and desirable fusion of the attention to detail of the haute-couture tradition for which Lanvin is famed and the masculine workwear aesthetic from which the Acne Jeans aesthetic springs. "This collection is set to appeal to girls and boys about town of all ages" reads the press release and it’s not wrong. Medicis Impax settle acne drug dispute
CNNMoney.com
said late Monday it cut a deal with potential competitor Impax Laboratories Inc. that ends a patent dispute over a generic version of the acne drug Solodyn and has the companies developing a more advanced version of the treatment. Earlier this year Impax Laboratories asked the Food and Drug Administration to approve its version of Solodyn sparking a patent dispute with the drug’s maker Medicis. Under a settlement and contract deal the companies are ending all legal disputes over the drug’s patents and Impax has the right to market a generic version no later than November 2011. After launching its version Impax will pay Medicis a royalty based on sales. Also the companies will jointly develop five dermatology products including an advanced form Solodyn.

Trib Tested: Neutrogena Wave

Neutrogena’s new Wave is no exception. The pink palm-sized Wave puts out quite a pulse as the classic Neutrogena soap works into pores invigorating and cleansing skin up to 10 times deeper than traditional washing. Whether used at the basin or in the shower this little gem powered away make-up and woke up my tired skin while helping to dry out light and severe acne. When I suffer a severe breakout I use Neutrogena as it clears acne quickly. However I noticed the vibration made my “normal” skin areas require more moisturizer than usual. With a nice price multiple coupons online and three colors available this luxe stocking stuffer is great – especially as an introduction to skin care for the young adult. Laura LenkIt always seems to me that right around Thanksgiving someone hits the ugly switch.
